As this book was written based on the personal experience of the author, it provided valuable insights on the processes that the author undertook during her own search, from obtaining a visit visa in Manila, to her landing in Dubai, to finding a place to stay, to applying for suitable jobs until her visit visa expired.
Aside from personal trials and encounters, this book also includes facts and information about the city on the aspects of housing, recreation, transportation and communication modes, and most importantly on labor and job culture. Tips and some actual stories are also included as bonuses.
The book has about 180 pages from cover to cover, full color with pictures.

A big area is also dedicated for events, shows and special bazaars...So come one! Come all! |
| | BR is finally here at Greenbelt 5!
In 1978, somewhere in Mill Valley, California, Banana Republic was born through Mel and Patricia Ziegler.
It all started with a small store near the Golden Gate Bridge where military surplus clothing and safari adventurewear were sold. In the early 90s, it evolved to high-quality casual wear, then work apparel to extravagance fabrics during the decade. Today, it is considered an accessible luxury lifestyle brand.

| | Aliwan Fiesta is the gathering of all the fiestas in the Philippines that is celebrated and presented to everyone altogether in one place and in one day. It features about 3,000 musicians and dancers with their remarkable floats, colorful costumes and impressive performances. It is a four-kilometer parade that starts at the Quirino Grand Stand and march along Roxas Boulevard to settle at the CCP Complex. Aside from having fun in the streets, each group also vies for the million-peso grand prize!
This album contains LOTS of pictures which I hope you will enjoy. In fact, this is nothing. I missed taking pictures of the other groups since it rained heavily just when the parade was about to start. However, the rain did not dampen the spirits of the young performers. They were actually more alive due to the cool air. I just do not know who won... |
